Selective Mutism
Individual Therapy
We provide individual therapy to children and adolescents with selective mutism. Both in-person and virtual services are available.
In-Person Groups for Children
In-person group sessions are available for younger and older children with selective mutism. In these sessions children practice "brave talking" through games and other fun activities. Older children also learn skills to help them cope with anxiety.
Initial Diagnostic Assessment
Clinical/diagnostic assessment of selective mutism is carried out by a registered Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist. The assessment will be followed with recommendations for treatment, as well as recommendations for school and other settings.
Parent Support
Parenting sessions are available to support parents to help their child talk in the community, at school, and other social situations.
Virtual Groups for Parents/Caregivers
Parent group sessions provide parents with skills that help them better support their child's verbal practices. These small groups also provide opportunities for parents and caregivers to meaningfully connect with other families who are undergoing similar challenges.
Third Party Consultation
Consultation to school staff and other professionals working with the child.
